AKWENI CARES

Over the past 15 years, through our Akweni Cares programme, we have contributed to charities and non-profit organisations in an effort to advance the communities in which we operate. We realise that we cannot function in isolation to those communities and that good governance and social involvement go beyond the work performed in our offices.

Each year, Akweni Cares provides support in the form of grants, donations, gifts and volunteer work. Below are some of the organisations we have supported.

HospiVision HIV Home

Support provided: Food parcels, Clothing and Building Material

FNB Charity Golf Day

Support provided: Sponsorship in support of FNB charity initiatives.

Cell C ‘Take a Girl Child to Work’ Initiative

Support provided: Providing high school learners with first-hand experience of the “world of work” and the various career opportunities available in the industry.

Emmanuel Day Care Centre

Support provided: Mandela Day initiative (provided tables, chairs, floor mats and educational material). The centre has been identified as Akweni’s CSI benefactor for 2016 onwards.

Coach House

Support provided: Provided duvet covers and groceries for three consecutive years

Uthando Lwabantwana

Support provided: Support for orphanage. Groceries for three consecutive years.
